Marketing Wizard: Celebrating 1 Year of Michaels Sorcery

Today marks 1 year since Michael Robinson kickstarted his journey with Nationwide Lift Services. When he first joined us, he was doing lead generation and assisting in sales, while looking after social media and the website on the side. Today, he is a marketing wizard, his wizardry knows no bounds as he strives to improve daily.

Michael is based in our Hull office and often comes to the head office, enjoying working from 2 different environments (and a nice Indian meal).

Michael looks after the website and social media for our company. He seamlessly handles his marketing tasks like a true wizard. He first began his career with us at the young age of 19, fresh out of college and determined to learn the ins and outs of the lift industry.

Michael’s hobbies translated well into the world of work, as he enjoys creating websites in his spare time, he created a website aged 15 based off graphic design. He has a solid background in computers, studying IT and media at college for 3 years. During his time working for us, he has been responsible for generating boatloads of revenue, exemplifying his marketing wizard skills.

Recently, we attended a lift breakdown at a nursing home, situated close to our headquarters in Stoke. We had a spare car door operator belt in our office unit, so we returned to site and installed the new one, we also did a full clean down of the operator. We succeeded in completing all the repair work within a 2-hour window, The client was ecstatic with our nursing home lift work.

We’ve started the week on a high note! Our Sales and Marketing Manager, Jamie Tappenden, has secured another new contract with a local college in Staffordshire. This college, located conveniently near our Stoke headquarters, has nine lifts on-site that will now benefit from our expert care.

Over the past few months, Jamie held several productive meetings with the college team. During these discussions, the local college expressed their frustrations with their previous supplier, citing issues like inadequate servicing, poor communication, and persistent problems with their lifts. Fortunately, we stepped in to turn things around. Through Jamie’s dedication, regular communication, and a proactive approach, we earned their trust and their business.

Lift Technician Neil Duncan – The Lift Whisperer

When we took over 5 years ago, we had big plans for the company. Two of the previous lift engineers who worked at Nationwide Lifts before Paul Robinson took over wanted to join us on our mission to expand the business. One of which is Neil Duncan who is our lift technician and the other is Steve Bowditch who is currently on a Worldwide Cruise (Just in case you didn’t know).

Neil has worked for the business for over 20 years and in that time has gained vast experience on lift installations, lift refurbishments, breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance. He is very knowledgeable and has a positive can-do attitude at all times. Neil’s attention to detail and patience on site is a real asset for our company and also our customers. He is currently helping the rest of our team become Lift God’s like him. He can even do a drawing if you ask him. Furthermore, he has been extremely loyal to the company in his time working here, as a dedicated lift technician.

We know Neil as the lift whisperer, he always manages to resolve any issues and has completed an array of successful lift modernisations. Several of our customers love having him on site, and he is always honest with the client, just like the rest of the staff who work for us. He is truly a remarkable lift technician.
