Do I legally have to have a Lift Maintenance Contract in place?

Yes, you must have a service contract in place for all lifts. You must also have regular LOLER inspections for your lifts.

What is the minimum service frequency for Lifts?

You must have a minimum of two lift service visits for passenger lifts and one service visit for goods lifts. This is the same for LOLER inspections too.

How many visits do you advise that we have?

Nationwide Lifts do traditional lift maintenance and advise customers to have three visits per annum to ensure that you never go beyond 6 months. We also consider age of the lift, usage and client or consultant requirements. We find that doing more traditional lift servicing helps reduce callouts and downtime as we spot issues before they occur.

How much does a lift maintenance contract cost?

A lift service cost is anywhere from £40.00 per visit to £100.00 per visit. This depends on the type of lift, size, storeys and site requirements.
