Nationwide Lift Services are a privately owned lift company who have been established for an impressive 30 years. Our skilled management team have over an impressive 100 years experience between them in the lift industry.

All of our engineers are highly trained and are masters of the lift industry. They will work around the clock to ensure your needs are met. We have a first time fix policy, where we will try to get your lift working on the first visit (and reduce the need for repeat visits). We are proactive with our work, and we firmly believe in fixing issues before they become more serious. Our approach can save you significant money, this benefits all sides, you and us.

Our headquarters is located near Stoke. With us being a key player in the lift industry, we can provide nationwide coverage for all lift service, lift breakdowns, lift repairs or lift refurbishment work. We also have a secondary office in Hull, which we utilize for our sales and marketing. Nationwide Lift Services offer traditional lift maintenance services throughout the UK. Traditional lift maintenance involves spending more time on site and fixing problems before they happen. We can offer preventative lift maintenance packages to help reduce breakdowns and costs.

We offer UK coverage for all types of lift repairs. With our in-house lift engineers, we can do all lift repair work on all types of passenger lifts, goods lifts and platform lifts. Our aim is to fix your lift first, which helps reduce costs and downtime on site.

A lift refurbishment (or modernisation) are a great way to revitalise an existing lift, when you are not wanting the upheaval of a full lift replacement, a lift modernisation solution is a good solution. Lift modernisation improves a lift’s reliability and can be completed within 4 weeks of order. As a lift company we have been doing modernisations, servicing, and repairs for decades.

We can also help you with your LOLER Inspections, a LOLER inspection is where a third party looks at your lift, and we can do this for you.

As a lift company, we ensure our customer service is nothing but top level. Our emergency helpline is active 24/7 and when you call it will always go through to a member of staff, not a call centre. If your lift is over 15 years old then we recommend a lift refurbishment. A lift refurbishment is a great and quick solution to make your lift more reliable and more efficient. Within 4 weeks you could have a new lift control system installed.

If the autodialler on your lift isn’t working you need to get it fixed or replaced as soon as possible. The autodialler is connected to a 24/7 call service by your lift provider and will help you in the need of an emergency.

Lift Maintenance

We offer lift maintenance contracts and visits. A lift maintenance/service visit is when a qualified engineer comes to inspect one or multiple lifts,

they check for any problems or potential issues with the lift and fix them.

The minimum is 2 lift maintenance visits per year, but we recommend 4 maintenance visits, as do a lot of the experts.

The reason we recommend 4 maintenance visits is that in a lot of buildings lifts are used all the time, the more frequent lifts are used, the more concerns that arise.

In industries where people using lifts is constant (e.g. a care home or hospital) we may recommend more maintenance visits.

Our aim is to fix all difficulties the lift has and to fix anything that could become an issue in the future, all while causing minimal disruption to your business.

Lift Repair

We offer lift repairs. When a lift breaks down, swift action is required to ensure it is working again quickly.

Common signs your lift needs to be looked at include

  • Doors banging together or squeaking when opening or shutting
  • Unusual sounds when the lift is in operation
  • Lights flickering
  • Error codes/malfunctions
  • Jerky or rough movement

We have a 24/7 helpline which you can ring if you need help with your lift urgently. The phone always takes you to a staff member, rather than a call centre.

Lift Refurbishment

We offer lift refurbishment. A lift refurbishment (or lift modernisation) is essentially a big lift repair. We upgrade existing lift parts or we put new ones in. We recommend lift refurbishment to any lift that is over 15 years old (as do a lot of the experts)

A lift refurbishment can save you money in the long run, mainly on repairs and an old lift may not follow recent regulations, we can get your lift in line with these regulations.
