We have recently secured an order for some passenger lifts in London. The exciting office refurbishment project is for an existing contractor of Hi-Tec Lifts. Care Home Lift

We was recently approached by a main contractor regarding a care home lift, who had issues on site with flooding. They had recently built a care home for the end client but the site flooded, meaning that the lift pit had been covered in water and damaged parts. The previous lift company had supplied a hydraulic lift meaning many parts were damaged in the floods.

Hi-Tec Lifts suggested an MRL traction passenger lift for the care home with a reduced headroom. This way if flooding ever occurred again, then the lift components would be above the water level, meaning no damage. We also assisted with sealing the lift pit and using a sump pump as a back up.

This care home lift needed a one stop shop from Hi-Tec Lifts as it is now an operational care home. The passenger lift was removed by us within a week, whilst leaving the site safe and looking the same to the end client.

Hotel Lift @ Seaside Resort

Hi-Tec Lifts have supplied and installed a Hotel Lift for a client of ours on the South Coast. Having worked with the client on many projects previously, we was asked to be involved early.

We offered a free site survey to determine the right passenger lift for this project. The hotel is a fantastic old building on the sea front and offers clients the perfect stay on the south coast. A reliable hotel lift was required but the works undertaken to replace the lift were quite extensive.

Luckily at Hi-Tec Lifts we offer the full turn key solution for our clients. We removed the existing passenger lift and then adapted the top of the shaft to give us the increased headroom. Having used this range of passenger lifts for many years, we knew that the client would get an open protocol lift that was reliable. On this particular project, we worked closely with the end client to ensure that the right disabled access lift was chosen. Whilst the 2 stop 410kg platform lift was only going up two floors and 3m, it did have a few special features. We needed to have front and side opening entrances to suit the building layout. The small recess of 50mm could not be cast, so we provided a ramp solution. Also due to the position of the installation and L bracket was required.

The platform lift was required as soon as possible as they did not know disabled access was required at the time. We have completed the project on time and in the current circumstances we think that is pretty good going.

Platform Lift & Disabled Access for New Council Building

Hi-Tec Lifts have just secured a platform lift order for a local council. The council needed some help providing disabled access for some of their staff and guests in a new office building. The issue was that a lift shaft or pit could not be formed due to space restrictions on site. Also they needed adjacent and front entrances on the platform lift or it would not have fitted in with the building design. Following a meeting on site with the customer and a site survey from Hi-Tec, the solution was resolved. We are supplying a new 2 stop 410kg Platform Lift for them with side and front entrances that fits perfectly within the staircase design.

From order placement, we was in the manufacturing period within a couple of days. Our delivery time is less than 7 weeks and we anticipate getting the new platform lift installed in 2 to 3 days. So from order placement to handover in 8 weeks.

Platform Lift in Cheshire

Nationwide Lifts have just installed a 2 stop Platform Lift at a site in Cheshire. The new exciting sports facility needed disabled access on site. Due to restrictions with available space, lack of pit depth and headroom, we only had one alternative for the client.

We specified an Aritco Platform Lift which only needed a small recess (no pit), low headroom and no lift shaft. This excellent and reliable product gives our client the disabled access they required without huge building amendments needed.

the 2 stop 410kg Aritco Platform Lift was delivered in 6 weeks and installed in only two days on site. We worked closely with the local contractors who ensured all our items were done and ready for our start date. Having worked with the architects on this project early on, we ensured this was the right lift for the building usage. We always need to take into account budget on projects but also the potential building work and amendments clients need to do to accommodate a lift.

We have recently secured a School Lift order for a project in Wolverhampton.

Having worked with the architects on this School Lift project early, we got to understand their restrictions on site. The design of the building only allowed for a reduced lift pit and reduced headroom space. The architect wanted the lift to look and feel like a normal passenger lift for this exciting local project. By working with architects and clients early on, we can assist with lift designs, lift drawings and lift specifications. This allows us to specify the right lift for their school in Wolverhampton, taking into account usage, space available, appearance and cost.

Our passenger lift solution for this project was ideal. Our lift can be connected up and run on only single phase power. It has a reduced lift pit and also reduced headroom space. The lift interior looks the same as any other high quality passenger lift with stainless steel walls, mirror, handrail, LED lights and rubber floor. The doors are also fully automatic and finished in stainless steel. The lift is very quiet and the ride quality is very good. We have just secured a local project with multiple passenger lifts on for a contractor that we have worked with for many years. The exciting commercial development in Newcastle under Lyme is an important project for the area. Nationwide Lifts have been based near Stoke now for 30 years. We can offer steel lift structures so you do not need to supply a lift shaft for some of our passenger lifts.

We even have a passenger lift that can move people and goods on only single phase power. This passenger lift can be supplied with a steel structure and all associated builders and electrical work.
