LOLER Inspections in Staffordshire

Nationwide Lift Services Lifts can offer LOLER Inspections for clients in Staffordshire and surrounding areas including Stoke, Newcastle, Crewe and Stafford. We have over 30 years experience of doing LOLER Inspections for end clients, ensuring they are safe and compliant.

The HSE offer strict guidelines on lift inspections to ensure your lifts are safe and compliant. We can help with this, so please contact us for guidance and support.

These Regulations (often abbreviated to LOLER) place duties on people and companies who own, operate or have control over lifting equipment. This includes all businesses and organisations whose employees use lifting equipment, whether owned by them or not. In most cases, lifting equipment is also work equipment so the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) will also apply (including inspection and maintenance). All lifting operations involving lifting equipment must be properly planned by a competent person, appropriately supervised and carried out in a safe manner.

LOLER also requires that all equipment used for lifting is fit for purpose, appropriate for the task, suitably marked and, in many cases, subject to statutory periodic ‘thorough examination‘. Records must be kept of all thorough examinations and any defects found must be reported to both the person responsible for the equipment and the relevant enforcing authority.

We also offer traditional lift maintenance nationwide and with the right preventative planned packages in place, you can save money and hassle. With over 30 years of experience, we have serviced and maintained all types of lift equipment in Stoke, Newcastle, Stafford, Midlands and North West.

Our lift maintenance packages can be tailor made to suit clients requirements. We can offer standard contracts or comprehensive solutions for your lift servicing. However we like to take into consideration the type of equipment, usage, age and clients budgets before we agree the best way forward for you.

Lift Maintenance in Staffordshire

Nationwide Lift Services Lifts have been doing traditional lift service, lift maintenance and lift repair work in Staffordshire now for 30 years. We have many schools, care homes, colleges, hotels and office buildings where we service lifts. We have our own in house engineers and can offer a quick reliable lift maintenance and lift repairs in Stoke, Newcastle, Stafford, Crewe, Macclesfield and surrounding areas.

Traditional lift maintenance allows our experienced lift engineers more time to look after your lifts on site. By offering the right lift service, our engineers can help cut down on call-outs, breakdowns and costs. By spending more time on an individual lift it allows our engineers to prevent issues happening in the future. We do not believe in giving our engineers huge rounds to complete each day as this can cut back on quality and time on site. We also like to ensure that we find the cause of a lift breakdown, to ensure the fault is rectified. We have a first time fix policy for all lift repairs where possible.

Our lift maintenance packages can be tailor made to suit clients requirements. We can offer standard contracts or comprehensive solutions for your lift servicing. However we like to take into consideration the type of equipment, usage, age and clients budgets before we agree the best way forward for you.

Our lift engineers have experience in servicing and repair work for all types of lifts. We currently have lift maintenance contracts in place throughout the UK for hydraulic lifts, traction lifts, platform lifts, step lifts, chain driven lifts and hoists. We look after many exciting sites with various passenger lifts, goods lifts and platform lifts as part of our current portfolio. Platform Lift & Disabled Access for New Council Building

Nationwide Lift Services Lifts have just secured a platform lift order for a local council. The council needed some help providing disabled access for some of their staff and guests in a new office building. The issue was that a lift shaft or pit could not be formed due to space restrictions on site. Also they needed adjacent and front entrances on the platform lift or it would not have fitted in with the building design. Following a meeting on site with the customer and a site survey from Nationwide Lift Services, the solution was resolved. We are supplying a new 2 stop 410kg Platform Lift for them with side and front entrances that fits perfectly within the staircase design.

From order placement, we was in the manufacturing period within a couple of days. Our delivery time is less than 7 weeks and we anticipate getting the new platform lift installed in 2 to 3 days. So from order placement to handover in 8 weeks.

Our platform lift range is fully compliant with European machine directive 2006/42/EC and is ideal where disabled access is required but space or budget restricts using a passenger lift. Our platform lift range offers our clients many features and benefits including:-

  • No lift shaft required (comes with own enclosure and structure)
  • No lift pit required (ramp or 50mm recess)
  • Reduced headroom space (within normal ceiling space)
  • Smaller footprint than passenger lift products
  • Quick Delivery (6 weeks)
  • Quick Installation (2 to 3 days)
  • Quiet and energy efficient
  • Runs on single phase power only
  • Single touch controls on landings (continuous pressure in cabin)
  • Various platform sizes available to suit all projects
  • European machine directive 2006/42/EC compliance

We offer a proven screw and nut drive system that is completely self-contained, meaning machine rooms or extra space is not required. We have many years experience of supplying this platform lift range and still have many of our installations in our service portfolio in the Midlands and North West.

So if you have a project with a platform lift or step lift on then please contact us if we can help at all for any lift repair work or lift modernisation work. You can get in touch by emailing us at or telephone us on:
