Hi-Tec Lift Systems are a privately owned lift company who have been established for over 30 years. Our management team have over 100 years experience between them in the lift industry. We have an ideal base near Stoke, where we can offer nationwide coverage for all new lifts, lift service, lift repair or lift modernisation work. We have installed over 1100 units in the UK over the last 30 years and have built up a reputation with clients as a reliable supplier who goes the extra mile. We have many units on service locally that we have had for many years and also lots of national clients too.

We offer the complete range of passenger lifts, goods lifts, cabin lifts, platform lifts and access products nationwide. We pride ourselves on supplying high quality solutions that are fully open protocol, giving our clients both peace of mind and flexibility in the future. Our range of products are fully bespoke and we can offer any car size, load, lift interior or lift doors you require.

Hi-Tec also offer the full turn key package for our clients for existing sites and new buildings. We offer the complete lift removal service, associated builders-work and electrical work, as well as the lift replacement. This allows us to be involved from early design phase right through to handover on site. By having one contractor on site, this cuts down on interfacing with other trades, improves communication and ultimately the level of service. We can even offer lift shafts nationwide to save time and money.

We also offer traditional lift maintenance, lift repair works and modernisation to all types of passenger lifts, goods lifts, cabin lifts, platform lifts and access products nationwide. With our highly skilled in house engineers we can ensure that our lift servicing helps cut down on call-outs, down time and costs. We also have a first time fix policy for lift repairs where our aim is to ensure we find the cause of the breakdown and repair it first time with no repeat visits. Hi-Tec Lifts can also offer an independent LOLER inspection service nationwide for all your lift requirements.

We also offer lift modernisations nationwide whether it is a new interior you need, new doors or the bits you might not see (control systems, hydraulics, motors) – we have a solution for you. A lift modernisation can be a great way to enhance the look of your lift but also make it more reliable and more eco-efficient without the upheaval of a full replacement. We only use high quality open protocol parts and components for all lift repairs and lift modernisations. A modernisation of your lift can be completed within one week and delivery is only two weeks from order.

Please contact us if we can help at all for any lift repair work or lift modernisation work. You can get in touch by emailing us at info@hitecliftsystems.co.uk or telephone us on: 01782 562000

work eperience

Lift Work Experience in Stoke

Michael Robinson has just done some lift work experience at our offices in Stoke. Unfortunately Michael missed out on work experience via college due to COVID 19, just like many other children did. Our MD Paul Robinson thought it was a good idea for Michael to meet the team and learn a bit about lifts and what we do.

When asked if he enjoyed his few days Michael said “yeah I had a nice Indian meal last night and learnt about lifts”.

Traditional lift maintenance allows our experienced lift engineers more time to look after your lifts on site. By offering the right lift service, our engineers can help cut down on call-outs, breakdowns and costs. By spending more time on an individual lift it allows our engineers to prevent issues happening in the future. We do not believe in giving our engineers huge rounds to complete each day as this can cut back on quality and time on site.

Our lift maintenance packages can be tailor made to suit clients requirements. We can offer standard contracts or comprehensive solutions for your lift servicing. However we like to take into consideration the type of equipment, usage, age and clients budgets before we agree the best way forward for you.

By having the right in house engineers and right lift maintenance structure in place, this will save you money, hassle and downtime for all your lifts. Our lift engineers have experience in servicing and repair work for all types of lifts. We currently have lift maintenance contracts in place throughout the UK for hydraulic lifts, traction lifts, platform lifts, cabin lifts, step lifts, chain driven lifts and hoists. We look after many exciting sites with various passenger lifts, goods lifts and platform lifts as part of our current portfolio. With some excellent reference sites and reference customers in the UK, we have grown our business via repeat work from these customers.

Hi-Tec Lifts can also do LOLER inspections nationwide for all types of lifts and escalators.

These Regulations (often abbreviated to LOLER) place duties on people and companies who own, operate or have control over lifting equipment. This includes all businesses and organisations whose employees use lifting equipment, whether owned by them or not. In most cases, lifting equipment is also work equipment so the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) will also apply (including inspection and maintenance). All lifting operations involving lifting equipment must be properly planned by a competent person, appropriately supervised and carried out in a safe manner.

LOLER also requires that all equipment used for lifting is fit for purpose, appropriate for the task, suitably marked and, in many cases, subject to statutory periodic ‘thorough examination‘. Records must be kept of all thorough examinations and any defects found must be reported to both the person responsible for the equipment and the relevant enforcing authority.

Investing in Young People

Investing in Young People

Hi-Tec Lifts are keen on investing in young people. We believe that if you find people with a good attitude and good work ethic, then they will learn and progress. I think we are lucky to have found Andy Followes and Elliot Lake. I also think they are lucky to work alongside Steve and Neil who have over 40 years of lift installation experience between them.

In the photo you can see Steve Bowditch, Neil Duncan, Andy Followes and Elliot Lake – good looking bunch. Steve has been with the company for 15 years and Neil 20 years. They have installed hundreds of lifts in their time at Hi-Tec. Even though we are a small business we are still investing in young people. We currently have two apprentice installers Elliot and Andy who are keen to learn and progress in our business. To have the option to learn from someone like Steve or Neil is great for the young guys.

As a company we think keeping installation in house works better. Our teams can become expert installers on certain products, making install faster but more importantly better quality. We will always outsource our testing as we feel as though this makes sure our teams are doing a good and safe job for our customers.

We often get involved in projects early with architects, consultants and clients as we can offer that extra level of service that you sometimes need. We offer budget costs, design, drawings, BREEAM information, traffic calculations, X10 lift specifications and tenders for all types of lifts.

We can meet any lift requirement you may have and are always very competitive on price. So if you have a project with a passenger lift or home lift on then please contact us if we can help at all for any lift repair or modernisation work, we also offer free site surveys and like to be involved from conception to completion. You can get in touch by emailing us at info@hitecliftsystems.co.uk or telephone us on: 01782 562000
